This weekend I had the privilege of photographing my beautiful cousin Maura and her fiance Mike! The weather was amazing, despite the unpredictable Pittsburgh forecast, and we had fun catching up. I’m looking forward to the big day!

Most of my week was spent in Pittsburgh at my sisters’ apartment in Oakland. I explored the hilly Frick Park on my bike and did a lot of reading in the Carnegie Library. On Sunday we celebrated Mother’s day by participating in the Susan G. Komen 5K in Schenley Park. It was a beautiful event celebrating the lives of everyone touched by breast cancer and reminded me of how blessed I am to have the incredibly strong and brave Mom that I do.
      Lacey and I had an amazing portrait session last night just as the sun was setting. This girl was all about the shoes and showed up wearing 5 inch wedges to tromp through the woods. We had a blast and the pictures are absolutely beautiful!
I first met Natalie my senior year of high school when she was recruiting students to attend Point Park University. She became my admissions counselor and I was a student worker in her office. Over the past 4 years we have become friends, talking about photography and dreaming about the day we could have a business together. A few months ago Natalie and her husband Jason had their first child, Brody! Brody made my job easy with his bright eyes and adorable smile. It truly was a pleasure to photograph such a new and exciting time in your lives!
Andrew and I had a great portrait session with some beautiful weather yesterday evening. He is attending Point Park in the fall, my alma mater! We had a blast talking about the school and what incredible opportunities the city of Pittsburgh has for him. Andrew, best wishes to you in the city I love!
